Jewellery

All of our jewellery is silver, hallmarked 925. This  means it is 92.5% silver (“sterling silver”) and is nickel free.

Silver was used by the ancient Egyptians and Sumerians. Athens was founded on silver. Even Britain had a small but thriving silver industry (a by product of the Cornish lead and tin mines). The lead mine at Millclose in Derbyshire used to produce a few thousand ounces a year until it closed down in 1961.

In addition to plain silver we have rings, necklaces, bracelets and bangles which decorated with semi precious stones ranging from amethyst to zircon.

Not sure what to choose, our staff can advise on design, particularly gemstones and different techniques of jewellery design.

Whatever your budget we can point you in the right direction.
There is something for everyone.

We are constantly searching out new designers both in the UK and abroad.
Current designers include Chris Smith, Marlene Hounam, Rare
Earth  (ethically sourced jewellery) and Dichrolicious.

We also specialize in unusual pieces such as the local Derbyshire sourced
Bluejohn, Baltic amber from Poland, turquoise from Mexico.  Other
items in our range include: opal from Australia, Murrano glass from
Italy, crystal from Austria.
